Descriptionwww.spartan-fleet.com Where a hyphen (-) really CAN make a difference. Are you tired of sim/fleet admins that take themselves too seriously? Are you tired of sims where the interpersonal drama and flaming are just completely unwarranted and mishandled? Are you tired of being tried as a criminal for slipups and minor issues? Are you tired of sims where you can never aspire to command a ship and crew of your very own, created by you, founded by you and run by you? And are you especially tired of not being able to flex your imagination as a writer and being forced only to write about other people's plots, ideas and characters? Spartan-fleet might be the sim for you. Spartan-fleet simulations is a "fleet" only because we head multiple (and growing) sims though we group varied genre. Out lineup looks like this at the currently: USS Spartan C: An Ares-class vessel that has just emerged from a five-year war waged against the Federation and its Alliance by the Dominion Remnant and a new alien threat, the Anazi. Now that the Anazi have left, Starfleet has ordered all salient vessels into a round of refurbishment and repair before the fleet restructures to take back lost systems and members. The Spartan, once the flagship of the Cerberus Fleet at Tartarus Starbase is now the flagship of the Spartan Fleet, Taskforce Gamma itself. Their next mission arc will be patrol in an ever-expanding band to clear out enemy staging areas, remnant military facilities and to lend aid to whatever survivors they can find. Join the Spartan or bring a ship into the fleet and help us retake the Alliance and drive the Remnant forces out once and for all. KHF Shadow of Death: A QibHoH class vessel, the massive Negh'Var upgrade utilizes new technologies developed by a near-renegade House within the Empire. Stolen by the XO of the USS Spartan and taken behind enemy lines, the ship appears to have been taken to the enemy. However, the ship's mission is far more secret than that and to the Klingon Empire, far more dangerous. For within the mind of the Captain lies an ancient secret about the destruction of an ancient House, the change of the Empire from a balanced culture to one of nothing but warriors and the end of the Imperial Bloodline. Now, he seeks proof and the few members of the Council that know what he is searching for will do anything to stop him. Join the intrepid crew of this mostly Klingon renegade vessel as they search for the secrets of the Segethl and the Lost Archives. USS Nanaja: A Loknar-class frigate, the little ship has just been commissioned two years before and cycled through three crews entirely. Nobody is sure exactly why none of the crew will remain on the vessel but rumor has its haunted. Now its been given to a troublemaker-captain, Deltan scientist who like Kirk, found an "alternative solution" to the Kobayashi Maru on his third attempt to pass command school. His crew assignment options were grim since Starfleet took that opportunity to give him access only to the worst dregs the fleet had to offer. He has hand-picked his new crew to the last waste-management technician, all with disciplinary, ethical and even psychological issues and yet, like him, brilliant in their own way. The Nanaja is being called the "Pink Submarine" of Starfleet because of its crew of misfits and its captain just one step from disgrace and on a ship nobody sane can remain on for more than a few months. And now they're preparing for launch to join the Excelsior and Captain Sulu for a survey and exploration mission core-ward for two years. Join the misfit crew of the USS Nanaja as she clears McKinley station and wobbles her way out to the core-frontier. Battlestar Andromeda: The Andromeda is one of the Nova-class Battlestars, a new type having been built to replace the aged Columbia-class, the Nova-class is a variant of the Mercury class and used as a test bed for new technologies and weapon systems. Whereas the Mercury class (Pegasus) is nearly twice the size of the Columbia class (Galactica), the Nova-class (Andromeda) is barely thirty percent larger than the Columbia class. However, unlike the Columbia and like the Pegasus, the Nova-class uses far greater automation and far less crew. At the time of the attacks on the Colonies, Andromeda she was deep in the Maelstrom, a vast radiomagnetic spatial distortion some distance from any inhabited world. Avoided because of the sensor and communications distortions the region causes Cylons, Humans and aliens alike leave the area alone. However, Hades Group, the division of the CDF that creates new technologies and tests them for Colonial Forces deployment uses the area extensively. It was here that the Andromeda had been for seven months, out of touch, out of range and in a place few would go even in desperation. Now she has emerged and found her Colonies overrun by the Cylons and a few straggling remnants or humanity staggering around near barbarism. Her Captain, Lucien "Deadeye" Markos, has sworn revenge. The Andromeda happens in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactic Universe and we're looking for all positions to be filled. Several more sims are being considered including a World of Darkness sim, a Star Wars sim, a New Babylon 5 genre, a Farscape sim and a Forgotten Realms sim. Plus we're looking for players to come on, decide if they like the genre and to bring their own ships into the mix. We welcome original new races, we develop canon technology in new and surprising ways while trying to keep it `realistic' and at a decent pace and we're looking for consistency. If you don't have any skills but you dream of commanding your own ship/sim, please let the Fleet moderator know and we'll develop you along those lines.
