Description

Darkmoor. A town teaming with nightmarish creatures beyond your imagination. Located in the South-East of England, it's been there for centuries and even though much of it's ancient buildings have be replaced with more modern attractions there are still parts of it that reveal truly how far back this place goes.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the busy towns clubs, cafes and so on lies the peace filled Bleakwood Forest at the centre of which stands the decadent Darkmoor Castle, a place most people should be intelligent enough to avoid. You have no idea what could be at resting within those decedent castle walls.

Bleakland Wood. So called for it's dark and sinister appearance. On entering you find yourself in complete darkness, though it grows even darker the deeper you go in. Not really the safest place to venture into. You never know what could be lurking within the shadows of such a place and it's not that clever of a thing to wander in for a look. Any wise person would know to avoid it, though there are those few whose curiosity overcomes them and never seen again. But moving off to the side off Bleakland Woods is Bleakland Park. Almost of the same name but no where near as 'bleak' and desolate as the woodland. During the day it is alive with colour and splendour. The laughter of children fills there air while lovers sit in the cool shade of the beautiful old oak trees. Friends run around playing on football fields and parents sit on benches, chit-chatting to each other about the kinds of things 'boring old grown-ups' like to talk about.

St. Paul's Church. The house of God that has witness many a sin through the centuries. It is not nearly as old as Darkmoor Castle, but has a good deal of age within is great stone walls. And for an old church much of it remains in very good condition. As for the graveyard, well, no more can be really expected of it. A resting place to many of Darkmoor's dead both young and old alike. People say that the graveyard is the safest place to be as everyone in it is dead...but with St. Paul's Graveyard, that's a different story. Staying a whole night in this place would be as stupid as walking into a room full of crazed murderers. Even here people can get killed.

Darkmoor's alleyway. The area's in which the small towns criminal scum operate. On entering you will see that the floors are littered with old syringes with the remains of some kind of sinister looking liquids and cigarette butts. And as well as drug addicts you often get a few whores, the homeless, random freaky drunk guys staggering about and the odd thieving kid or cut-throat murderer. And if your really unlucky then you could bump into something even worse then any of the previous. Don't understand what could be worse than any of that? Go and see for yourself.

The Drip is one of the more modern editions to Darkmoor. It's been there for a a few years and it's one of the most lively and well known Night Clubs in the south. It's also the richest and so quite a spectacular sight to see when you first enter. Friday nights and weekends tend to be very busy with all the young people coming out for a good time after a week of exhausting work. It's tenders are friendly, though the bouncers aren't as playful and light-hearted with the customers as they are. Cause any trouble and your out on your arse in the street.

Of course if your not up for a night down the club there's always the much more calming, relaxing atmosphere of Smoky Joe's. Come down for a coffee and something to eat whenever you want as it is open pretty late into the night though evenings aren't as busy as mid-afternoons.

Not very far away from the cafe are the Darkmoor apartments. Nice little five story flats for those on a low salary. To get down to places like Bleakland Park or The Drip isn't a very long walk so it doesn't take you ages to get to the entertainment. Unfortunately the Land Lady isn't the nicest of people though it's recommended that you don't get on her bad side. You don't want that old bag on your back.

Darkmoor Boy's Academy. The old boys boarding school, now closed due to some unpleasant occurrences that happened within the school. A series of unexplained, gruesome murderers on students of the school. It's pretty much all boarded up and the gates are chained together and padlocked though this doesn't stop people getting in and vandalising the place with their unintelligent 'street' name tags. A few of the windows have been broken and the boards covering some of the doors have been ripped off. It's been abandoned for years and anything could have made it's home inside that place. No-one has said anything about knocking it down and building something new and useful there. Instead it's just been left to stand there, exposed to erosion and weathering until it eventually caves in on itself.

---------------------------------------

This is the setting you live in. This is the world in which you must survive. Come as a vampire, a werewolf, or a mere mortal.

But if you do choose to be a mortal...

Remember that you aren't very high on the food chain.
