Description

Atlantis is an open-ended computer moderated play-by-email fantasy game for any number of players. Players may attempt to carve out huge empires, become master magicians, intrepid explorers, rich traders or any other career that comes to mind. There is no declared winner of the game; players set their own objectives, and one can join at any time. The Arcadia Atlantis series a flavour of Atlantis: Smaller, shorter, faster, more roleplay and combat oriented games are run with a heavily modified Atlantis 5.0 engine.

The ONE EYED LABYRINTH is a short game based on the Nylandor (arcIII) engine. It makes use of the undiscovered part of the Nylandor map, the so called ONE EYED LABYRINTH, named after all the many students who lost an eye in it.

To join up, You have to do the following things:

+ Read the NYLANDOR rules at http://home.arcor.de/oidipus + join http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/arcadia-pbm/ + send an email to "piotr+labyrinth@radnmari.net" with "#help" in the body of the message.

Further Information (written by Bradley):

"The game will be the One Eye Labryinth from Nylandor's underdeep; I've basically used the nylandor gamefile and just re-routed the nexus exits, and wiped the surface/underground terrain. Patrick was the only player to reach stage 2 of the labryinth (out of 5 total), so it is still mostly unseen.

I'll probably be running a faction just to make sure everything is working ok, but won't be trying for the victory conditions - still coded from Nylandor; guard 60% of the cities. Since there is only one city, and it's at the end of the labryinth, that means first person through wins ;).

The game should not take a lot of your time - there is nowhere to buy men, so you cannot get more than about 30 men at most. This means even the most dedicated player can't get more than 30ish units, and 10 units or less will be more common. Because orders should be quick to write I'm currently thinking of running it either every 2 days or 3 turns a week, but that can be adjusted if players later think it is too fast or slow. I suspect the game will run for about 60-100 turns, unless your faction is killed off before then.

The game is monster free, but factions are likely to meet (and perhaps fight) and there are also 'natural traps' ...

Entry is free for anyone who wants to play, whether from Nylandor or not. I'd encourage the Nylandor community to join; this is definitely a new variation on the Atlantis theme, so I'm interested to see how it goes."

Although this our the first game with 'open to new players' character, we still want to emphasize that our games have more roleplay character ( still, You might find some power player in here.. ).

Turn are beeing run at 2nd, 4th, 6th, ... day of the month. One faction per player, of course.

Have fun,

Piotr
