The year is 2154, and the NX06-Meridian will soon be thrust into a conflict that will stretch it's capabilities to the limit. A PBEM simulation in the 'Starfleet-The First Era' group, the Meridian has been voyaging for over two years now, and is at the forefront of man's exploration of the final frontier. "Elders... before our world was attacked, forty generations ago, we were a proud people. We had courage. We used to explore. Our current laws and traditions only came into effect after the decimation. They served us well during this time, but we as people have evolved, our old strength and courage is still within us, even if we seem to have forgotten about it." The NX starships are the cutting edge of man's exploration of the universe. With their Warp 5 capability, they streak outwards into the cosmos, taking with them the hopes and dreams of those left at home. And now, a secretive alien race calls for our help as they face a threat that could obliterate their entire existance. The Meridian will join other NX SIMs as Starfleet turns and answers the call.
