DescriptionNova Soccer League is free, friendly, easy to pick up and fun to play. I play in several of Robert Filipe's FSL Engine management games (JSL, FSL and LBM) and I decided to run one myself. You take over one club and pick the team, formation and tactics each turn, as well as buying/selling and training players and controlling the team finances. I play a couple of ESMS games but I prefer these ones because there are less emails and less work for the player, as well as a more friendly feel to the league. There are presently League Championship and Cup competitions and in the future, I hope to run Champions League-type competitions and friendlies with clubs from other leagues. There is a newspaper on the site where managers get to write match reports in exchange for money for their teams. The managers get to know each other quickly and that interaction is one of the things that makes the game worth playing. It's not just a bunch of results on a website. The game will not start for a few weeks, while I recruit managers but once it starts, I fully intend to keep it going for years like some of the ones I play. The game will most likely start in July 2004 but before then, I will run friendly matches and the transfer market will open. join up now and get in on the ground floor. Feel free to email me about any aspect of the game. Cheers - Dave Lucas (1st June 2004) |
